About The Love Church Atlas

The Love Church Atlas is a free, hand-painted interactive atlas of the biblical world, from Rome to Persia. It is a painted, explorable map built on real terrain under illuminated-atlas artwork, with places and journeys that open into Scripture.

What is in it

How it works

Open the atlas and the map is yours to explore: pan and zoom across the painted terrain, click any pin to open its card, and follow its verses straight into the Bible text. Pick a journey and the route is inked onto the map with its story beats. Slide the era rail and cities rise, fall to ruin, and are rebuilt under your eyes.

The atlas runs in your browser and needs JavaScript and WebGL. It works on a phone, but it is at its best on a desktop screen, where the painted map has room to breathe.

Why the name

The Love Church Atlas carries the name of Love Church, the ministry that makes it and gives it away freely.

Who makes it

The Love Church Atlas is a ministry project of Love Church, and a sister to Lexeme, our free Bible study tool. It is free, with no accounts and no tracking. The map art is AI-assisted painting produced for this atlas over real elevation data; place data and Scripture text come from the open sources credited on the attributions page.

Ancient locations are scholarly identifications. Many are approximate and some are debated; a place's card says so where it matters.
